The title is supplied in a sixteenth-century hand in black ink on a1r. A heading for de Bussis' letter is supplied in a contemporary North European hand on a2r. Running headings are supplied in brown ink in a sixteenth-century hand at the head of each recto. Ownership inscription on a2r obscured.
Two- to six-line initials are supplied in red, some with reserved white decoration.

Binding: Contemporary English, ‘Antwerp Binder' (Cambridge?), blind-tooled calf over wooden boards, two English clasps and metal label (on the lower cover) lost; rebacked in the early nineteenth century. On both covers triple fillets form a triple frame; within the outer frame a circular stamp bearing the arms of Antwerp surrounded by four small flower-petal stamps; within the next frame alternate square stamps and square stamps sideways on a wingless dragon eating a snake (flower according to Oldham) or a fleur-de-lis. The inner rectangle is divided by triple fillets into lozenge-shaped compartments, each containing a lozenge-shaped stamp bearing a double-headed eagle with a crown, or a circular stamp bearing the arms of Antwerp; and triangular compartments containing a small flower-petal stamp. For the printer and stamps see Oldham, English Blind-stamped Bindings, 19-20, and pl. xiv, nos 99, 104, 106, 107, 109, which Oldham assigns to ‘the Antwerp Printer'. The title in manuscript (c.1500) along the fore-edge.
